Our client is a leading mortgage provider looking to recruit a new team of Call Handlers as a result of their success and growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a career in mortgage lending and progress with the company.


Experience is not essential as full training will be provided as long as you have an excellent telephone manner and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ideally, you'll have previous experience in a customer service or administration role too.

Up to £250 salary increase quarterly based on performance and monthly bonus.


You will work within a team of people that are responsible for speaking to customers who are looking to review their mortgages on both an inbound and outbound basis whilst building rapport and helping them up to the point of wanting to proceed with our service.

Training will be based at the office in Newcastle for a period 3 months and will then be a hybrid model of working 3 days from home and 2 days in office.

  • Fri pm including two late shifts a week which are 11.30am 8pm and 10am 6pm
  • 1 in every 3 Saturdays (95pm) with a lieu day the following week

You'll be responsible for:

  • Being the first point of contact for customers calling in to discuss a range of products and services and building rapport whilst ensuring you maintain a courteous and friendly telephone manner.
  • Part of a team that are the main lead source for the company and your role will therefore involve making inbound and outbound calls and ensure customers are set up and ready to transfer to an adviser.
  • Relationship building within the wider business is crucial so that everyone works as one team towards a common goal of ensuring the customer is supported from start to finish.

  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Selfmotivation and accuracy is essential for this role
  • Strong work ethic
