Job Introduction

The starting salary for this role is £32,173 per annum, based at Ashley Park House, 42-50 Hersham Road, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 1RZ.


Defined working hours for this role are Monday - Friday 08:50 - 17:00 and whilst you won't be required in the office 5 days a week, you will be required in the office a minimum 2 days per week.


About Us
Children, Families and Learning provides a range of highly specialist services to vulnerable children and young people.

Services are delivered directly to children and their families within extensive statutory frameworks and staff working in these areas need specialist knowledge in order to deliver effective services to these high risk and high need groups.


Our admin teams support Social Care staff and this role will work closely with the Senior Business Team Leader to provide high quality and timely support to Social Care Practitioners.


About the role


You will manage and develop a team of administrators to deliver a high quality and efficient administration service to assist in delivering the overall aim of the service to improve outcomes for children.

Your duties will include co-ordinating support to the Assistant Director as required.


About you


You will be highly organised, willing to take responsibility and using your initiative, comfortable in setting your own priorities and meeting deadlines.

You will lead the way in assessing and implementing process improvements constantly and consistently to improve the performance of the administration service and increase customer satisfaction.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential along with a high level of written and oral communication skills.

You will have experience of working with highly confidential information in a customer-focused environment and have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of leading, co-ordinating and developing a busy team
  • Has high level administrative and analytical skills
  • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to build key relationships
  • Is confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to your work
  • Has excellent IT skills and is proficient in using Microsoft Office
