    Head of Infrastructure | FS Trading Firm | London | Hybrid | up to £140k + Bonus, Benefits

    Our client is a world-renowned FS Trading House, offering a diverse and globally operating financial services platform, offering vital liquidity, market access, and infrastructure solutions to its clients engaged in the energy, commodities, and financial markets.

    The firm delivers a wide range of services, including Market Making, Clearing, Hedging and Investment Solutions, and Agency and Execution. With a strong presence, they are a leading player in major metals, energy, and agricultural products markets across the globe.

    As part of their growth strategy, they are now in need of an experienced Head of Infrastructure to deliver their infrastructure strategy as well as ensuring that their services are available, resilient, and secure.

    As the Head of Infrastructure, you will play a significant role in defining the architecture, strategy and processes used to deliver effective change and manage efficient operations, across multiple global teams across both cloud and on-prem environments.

    This role plays a crucial part in establishing necessary controls and delivery pipelines, enabling the organisation to expand and fulfil continuous business needs.

    As the Head of Infrastructure, you will:

    • Assume ownership of both Cloud and On-Premise infrastructure, overseeing strategy, service availability, and cost management.
    • Ensure the stability, security, and resilience of the company's infrastructure.
    • Take responsibility for infrastructure architecture, strategy, and roadmap development.
    • Serve as the primary point for evaluating new ideas and innovation proposals, assessing their alignment with strategy, business benefits, and architectural standards.
    • Lead infrastructure project and portfolio management efforts.
    • Establish a comprehensive service catalogue with designated ownership by specific teams.
    • Foster innovation and automation within teams, making decisions on project priorities and team involvement.
    • Spearhead innovation initiatives and advancements in modern automation and observability across all fronts.

    Your areas of responsibility will include:

    Platform Engineering - Networking Estate - Infrastructure Operations - Endpoint management, build and deployment - Communications.

    The salary on offer for this Head of Infrastructure Role, is paying up to £140,000 on base + Benefits + Bonus Package

    The firm operates a hybrid model of working, with 2 days per week in the office, in London City.

    Essential Requirements:

    • Experience of running a Global Infrastructure estate, including data centres, networks, cloud platforms, and end-user computing environments, for a Regulated business, ideally Front Office environments.
    • Experience Leading Global Follow-the-Sun Teams, with proven ability to lead and manage cross-regional teams, ensuring continuous support and operational excellence across different time zones.
    • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities to effectively convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels and facilitate collaboration across teams and regions.
    • AWS Solutions Architect experience, with demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing solutions on the AWS platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
    • Team Management (Cross Region): Experience in effectively managing and leading diverse teams across regions, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment while driving performance and achieving strategic objectives.
    • Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the financial services sector, such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOX, and industry-specific regulations like MiFID II.
    • Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure operations, including cybersecurity threats, data breaches, system failures, and operational disruptions.
    • Certifications:
    • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Qualification
    • Microsoft Azure Architect Expert Qualification
    • VMWare / vSphere certifications
    • CISMP (Certificate in Information Security Management Principles)

    Desirable Experience:

    • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and associated compliance requirements
    • ITIL v4 Foundation
    • Project Management / Agile experience
    • Microsoft InTune experience
    • Palo Alto experience
