    The postholder will take a proactive role in formulating and implementing the Council's approach to the natural environment, ecology, green networks, open space and biodiversity to support the review of the Local Development Plan and by providing advice and guidance in relation to planning application consultations, Strategic Environmental Assessments and Council projects. You will identify and lead on the preparation of bids for funding environmental projects, as may be appropriate.

    The role will involve collaborative working with officers from other departments, national statutory and non-statutory bodies, elected members and the local community.

    Individuals should have experience of providing high quality, clear and coherent ecological advice, with strong collaborative working and influencing skills.

    Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
