    Job Description Oliver Sanderson is engaged with a leading multinational Manufacturing business with a fantastic UK arm that you will be joining as a Payroll Manager.

    This role reports to the Head of Reward and has 4 direct reports (2 Payroll Supervisors & 2 Payroll Specialists).

    You will be accountable for developing and leading the payroll team providing this service to the rest of the Group.

    This includes five business units and the Group Central teams.

    The role will align closely with specific business units and ensure they receive a high quality, timely and compliant service for pay and benefits.

    Lead the monthly payroll function and ensure that all relevant deadlines are met.
    Act as the central point of contact for Payroll services, providing expert and accurate pay advice.
    Assist with the convergence of two payroll systems following an acquisition.
    Work closely with the HR Systems Team to utilise the functionality of the HR / Payroll system fully.
    Ensure all employment, pension and third-party payments are made correctly and on time.
    Liaise with senior stakeholders to develop a customer-focused approach to pay and benefits.
    Ensure compliance with all tax, social security and UK legislation.
    Support any required payroll system testing.

    Our client is looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years' experience within a payroll management or supervisory type role.

    You must have strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including tax, pension, and statutory payments. You will have a demonstrated ability to handle confidential payroll information with discretion while maintaining employee privacy. You will be proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel for data management, analytics, and reporting. Construction, Energy Services, Manufacturing, Mechanical & Electrical Services, Facilities, Engineering, Utilities and Logistics, or similar.
