The Role:


The Investment Data & Reporting Services (DRS) team is a high demand, fast paced operations team servicing the data needs of our international Investment business, our Clients and the Regulators.

The team are undergoing significant change driven by strategicprogrammes, new business, organisational change along with its own Target Operating Model (TOM) transformation.


Key Responsibilities for this role:


  • Lead the operations team to ensure the provision of high quality, fit for purpose, efficient and cost effective data services which meets the requirements of, and delivers benefits to the business, Clients and the Regulators.
  • People management covering the day to day management of direct reports, training plans, career development and resource planning.
  • Leadership position working collaboratively with the Investment Data Management Senior Leadership Team to steer the direction of the broader team, supporting peers and the Investment Data & Reporting Services Director.
  • Drive forward the data strategy, owning the change agenda for delivering elements of the capabilities sighted as part of the TOM.
  • Champion and represent the roles and responsibilities of DRS, ensuring that change is aligned to best practice, data governance, and the principles for managing data effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on data, and be the escalation point for complex data queries across asset types.
  • Work with the key stakeholders to understand the business priorities and expectations in order to implement, communicate and support the team where change is necessary.
  • Liaise with vendors such as Markit, Refinitiv and BlackRock for ongoing support for our data and valuation needs.
  • Ensure that the team undertake their role of Data Producers and Data Stewards in accordance with the Data Owners requirements, and adhere to the Data Policies and Standards.
  • Support the team in ensuring that all audit obligations are met, risks and controls are effectively managed in line with the Operational Risk Framework.
  • Liaise with auditors where appropriate to ensure the team's processes are in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


  • Excellent understanding of the investment industry, with 10 years+ experience working in Asset Management/Financial Services including strong knowledge of:
  • financial, reference, and instrument data across various asset classes.
- clients, products and the regulations under which they operate.

  • Has a proven track record of leading high volume operational teams, with tenacity, determination and a delivery and service focussed mindset.
  • Operates at a Senior level, and can work with multiple stakeholders across the business, and with Clients and the Regulators.
  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and support others, and drive people to succeed.
  • Excellent people management skills with 7 years+ experience.
  • Excels with managing a team in a continuously evolving environment.
  • Drives change, and has a history of delivery with the ability to champion the team's needs, with a strong focus on business outcomes.
  • Excellent understanding of an IT infrastructure and data environment.
  • Good working relationship with vendors such as Refinitiv, Bloomberg and Markit.
  • Demonstrates passion, proactivity and enthusiasm and wants to learn and make a real difference.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, and can bring teams together, influence change, demonstrate benefits and gain buyin.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, challenging current processes to discover and deliver new ways of working.
  • Determined, and selfdriven with a passion for innovation and a strong can do/positive attitude
  • Strong understanding of operational risks and control frameworks.
