    This role will play a vital role as a fixed-term role as part of the project team that will be working to revolutionise how patient care is provided across Sherwood Forest Hospitals, working as part of a dedicated project team who will be tasked with delivering a Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system over the coming years.


    Reporting to the Head of Business Change & Benefits, the EPR Programme Communications Lead is responsible for developing and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and activities for the EPR programme, while working as part of an extended part of the Trust's core Communications team.

    Qualifications and training
    Post-graduate level qualification in relevant subject/field
    Equivalent experience working in a communications, PR or marketing role

    Knowledge of building relationships with key external stakeholders
    Communications and relationship skills
    Good knowledge of how to design and execute effective communication strategies
    Experience of commissioning design work
    An understanding of how to lead and executive campaign planning
    Good understanding of digital communications (strategy and implementing strategy)
    Good understanding of public relations
    A knowledge of current communications thinking

    Understanding of effective use of design and graphics in relation to communications channels (EG - posters and display screens, electronic media, and social media)
    Ability to write reports (EG - contributing to a communications Updates to boards and working groups)
    Ability to undertake media analysis
    Ability to measure the effectiveness of communications activities, including campaigns
    Ability to advise at a senior level re: media handling strategies

    Planning and organisational skills
    Effective written and verbal communication skills to produce materials relevant for target audiences
    Ability to analyse and interpret complex material and converting into an easy -to -understand format and language relevant to target audience
