    Role Overview

    This role offers the opportunity to be part of a friendly, professional, dynamic database team. And be and integral part of the project team implementing a Middleware solution to optimise data transfers between the charity and our third-party suppliers and internal systems.

    About the Team

    The Database Team are an integral element of the wider Supporter Data and Relations Team, providing practical and technical support to the Fundraising department. Promoting consistency and accurate use of data, the team are at an exciting stage of development, and are poised to play a key role in the implementation of the upcoming Data Strategy.

    About you

    You will have a passion for data, enjoy and excel in carrying out a wide variety of data related roles, flexing successfully between different tasks and priorities. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with a "can do" / problem solver approach and desire to deliver added value and improvements on an ongoing basis.

    The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of managing and importing bulk data, and the resolution of related issues.
  • Experience of data integration into Salesforce using middleware solution.
  • Prior experience of using Boomi is a distinct advantage.
  • Understanding and knowledge of JSON, XML, Flat Files
  • Experience of writing data transformation scripts using Javascript and/or Groovy 1.5.
  • Proven aptitude for problem solving – able to identify underlying issues and apply own initiative to find solutions, escalating points wherever needed.
  • Familiar with project management/collaboration tools such as Jira / Confluence and awareness of Kanban and Scrum methodologies.
