    We are, in effect, part think tank, part strategic advisory consultancy, part polling company, and part communications and public affairs agency.

    The roleWe are a friendly and fast growing organisation, looking for a dynamic Office Manager who can ensure that Public First runs smoothly and efficiently.

    You will be responsible for maintaining the day to day running of the office, juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities.

    As the first person any client/new joiner will meet, you should be confident and engaging and able to direct enquiries to the relevant team.

    You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role and your main duties will include Office Management and HR support.

    Dynamic and enthusiastic, supportive of a positive office cultureProactive, hands-on and always one step ahead, confident in making sound judgementsTrustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality at all levelsAdaptable to change in a fast moving and growing organisationProfessional, both internally and externally facingWe would value the following skill sets:Excellent interpersonal skills: a good listener, who can convey messages accurately and concisely, with an eye for detailExperienced at managing diaries and balancing competing demandsExcellent organisational, administration and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise their workload and to work on their own initiativeCan show initiative and bring new ideasKnowledge of Microsoft office/Google documents/Excel and other softwareYour key responsibilities would include:General office administration, including:Supporting any office moveOrdering office and kitchen supplies, fobs/entry cards and keys for office accessLiaising with Landlord, managing agents, cleanersEnsuring office kitchen is operational and not afraid of unpacking a dishwasherEnsuring Health and Safety policies are up-to dateImplementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systemsHandling office and supplier payments as requiredOrganising meetings and managing databasesBooking staff transport and accommodationOrganising company events and conferencesDealing with correspondence, preparing letters, presentations and reportsRenewing PF subscriptions and membershipsManaging any communication and interaction with Public First, guests, interviewees, new joiners, etc.

    Any other ad-hoc dutiesResponsible for HR support, including:Ensuring that policies and procedures are regularly updatedSupporting recruitment and onboarding processesResponding to ad hoc HR queriesLocation and salaryThe role is London based (we have offices in Westminster).

    It requires being in the office at least three days a week, with core days being Mondays and Thursdays.
