Overview

London Borough of Harrow's Public Heath team have a fantastic opportunity for a Public Health Strategist - Adults.

The Public Health Strategist roles within Harrow enable the delivery of the statutory functions of the Department of Public Health. The roles will require a high degree of specific and technical expertise coupled with significant and practical experience of mobilising assets and staff to deliver against a strategic programme.

Tasks include supporting the Consultant in Public Health to understand and develop options to protect and improve population health across the Integrated Care System landscape, and throughout all Local Authority Departments. The role will be high profile and is expected to be a highly visible and trustworthy programme leader.

We are looking for someone to actively contribute to the wider provision and development of the health promotion and improvement function, including contribution to the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, budget planning and monitoring and defined output and outcome measures according to subject areas to illustrate programme success.

The successful candidate will have:

• Public Health Practitioner registration.
• Specialist subject matter expertise in Health Promotion.
• Specialist subject matter expertise in Health Improvement.
• Proven ability to deliver against competing priorities and deadlines while also directing the work of teams/individuals.
• Minuted experience of presentation of papers to external and internal partnership boards and meetings.
• Ability to travel for travel for business purposes.
