JHS Technology £60k - 70k per year + Part time available Birmingham, West Midlands, England Fixed Term Contract Hybrid Working Digital Skills Officer with a background in business support, inward investment and talent is sought by TechWM based in Birmingham.

With TechWM at the forefront of ecosystem development the West Midlands has been recognized as the UK's fastest growing tech sector allowing this Digital Skills Officer to support tech companies and global brands on their growth journey within the most exciting region in the UK.

Based in the heart of Birmingham's tech community, this Digital Skills Officer will be responsible for engaging, signposting and supporting tech businesses as they look to scale within the West Midlands.

This will be done with the help of trusted partners (bootcamps, universities, schools, commercial landlords, recruitment partners) and will feed into the region's impartial tech acceleration program.

This role would suit an individual with a background in B2B relationship building and senior level stakeholder engagement but most importantly a passion for making a real difference to the region's tech ecosystem This Digital Skills Officer based near Birmingham will have the following key skills:

  • Proven track record of managing and developing B2B relationships across the commercial or tech sector
  • Experience advising businesses on education, business support and talent attraction would be a real plus
  • A thought leader on the digital skills gap with the passion for addressing it
  • A real passion for helping the West Midlands tech ecosystem continue its upwards trajectory
  • Senior level stakeholder engagement skills
  • A people centric, engaging, friendling personality
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills This Digital Skills Officer role will be offered initially on a full time, 12 months fixed term contract paying a salary of up to £70,000. Part time, flexible working is available. Digital Skills Officer Up to £70,000 Birmingham (hybrid)
