    Description
  • Lead the Financial Reporting team to ensure accurate and timely statutory and regulatory financial reporting for SJPUK and SJPIA, including PRA (Solvency II) and FCA (MIFIDPRU) reporting.
  • Provide guidance to senior management on financial management and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Deliver robust management information to the Boards of SJPUK and SJPIA.
  • Coordinate capital management activities for SJPIA, including dividend proposals.
  • Coordinate financial reporting team's engagement with Tax and Actuarial departments.
  • Collaborate with SS&C Relationship Manager to resolve operational finance issues for improved reporting.
  • Support Group reporting team in addressing technical accounting queries.
  • Lead and manage a team of at least 1 qualified and 1 trainee accountant.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient performance of team members.
  • Manage the team to meet business requirements.
  • Who we're looking for:

  • Proficiency in financial reporting (statutory and regulatory).
  • Ability to interpret financial data for decision-making.
  • Experience in the financial services sector, preferably with knowledge of life accounting.
  • Must have an Accounting qualification (, ACA, ACCA).
  • Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to build and develop processes.
