Company Summary: We have partnered with a global pharmaceutical organization in search of a versatile handyman to join their team near London.

Role Summary: As the Buildings Fabrics Engineer, you will report to the Utility Supervisor and be accountable for the efficient operation of the site's Building and Utility Services at the European Knowledge Centre (EKC) facility in Hatfield.

Your main responsibility involves overseeing the maintenance and functionality of the site's infrastructure, comprising office spaces, laboratories, and GMP production lines, to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.

Main Duties:

• Perform routine inspections of building fabrics to identify and resolve defects, damages, or potential hazards.
• Implement preventative maintenance tasks for building fabrics, such as walls, ceilings, floors, partitions, and lighting.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to manage repairs, refurbishments, and installations.
• Respond promptly to reactive calls, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations and GMP guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and materials inventory.
• Provide technical expertise and support to colleagues on building fabrics and infrastructure.

Key Experience:

• Proficient in verbal and written English.
• Demonstrated experience in building maintenance or facilities management, preferably in a regulated industry like pharmaceuticals.
• Hold relevant vocational qualifications in building maintenance or engineering.
• Familiarity with diagnosing and resolving building fabric issues.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for building maintenance in pharmaceutical settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
