    For an immediate start, we are looking to recruit casual Exam Invigilators for occasional
    days when required to ensure examination/assessments are conducted correctly and in
    accordance with procedures and processes.

    Working as part of a team of invigilators, tasks will include preparing exam rooms,
    distributing/collecting papers and stationery, advising candidates of exam conditions and
    observing students during the exam.

    To be successful in this role, you will have a confident, flexible approach, good attention to
    detail, be an excellent timekeeper with effective verbal and written communication skills.
    Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.

    Purpose of the role

    Oversee and supervise internal/ external examinations/assessments on an ad hoc basis.
    Ensure that the academy complies with all necessary exam board regulations.
    Key accountabilities (and specific duties/ responsibilities)


    • Assist in the setting up of the examination room.
    • Ensure all candidates receive appropriate exam question and answer papers.
    • Be aware of any needs a candidate may have during an exam.
    • Consult with the exams officer with any candidate issues.
    • Ensure no inappropriate items are brought into the exam room.
    • Ensure candidates are aware they are under exam conditions throughout the exam
    session.


    • Record the start and finish times of the exam, ensuring efficient time keeping is
    maintained.


    • Complete the attendance register.
    • Supervise candidates within the exam room and any candidate who may need to
    leave the room during the session.


    • Ensure answer scripts are collected in candidate number order, not left unattended
    and are safely stored.


    • Attend training/refresher or review sessions as required.
    • Assist in other duties as may reasonably be requested by the academy from time to
    time.


    • Promote the safety and wellbeing of pupils, and help to safeguard pupils' wellbeing
    by following the requirements of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and
    our school's child protection policy.


    • Look after children who are upset or have had accidents.
    ● Arrange for all necessary repairs to be carried out to ensure the safe running of
    kitchen equipment and remove any faulty equipment pending repairs. Where
    repair or replacement exceeds the agreed budget, discuss this with Principal

    Administrator.

    ● Ensure that catering staff are adhering to proper hygiene procedures, including
    wearing the correct uniform.

    • Record all accidents and incidents.
    Safeguarding


    • Work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (including Keeping Children Safe
    in Education, Prevent) and the school's safeguarding and child protection policies


    • Promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school.
