Helicentre Aviation was founded in 2001, originally based at Coventry Airport in the West Midlands, now headquartered at Leicester Airport with its multi-engine training and operations centre of excellence at London Oxford Airport.


Since opening, its training academy, commercial and utility operations have gone from strength to strength and the original expectations of creating a one-stop training academy and commercial air operation were far exceeded.

Helicentre Aviation has trained hundreds of professional helicopter pilots, feeding the crew supply chain globally, both offshore and onshore.


Today Helicentre Aviation owns and operates a fleet of 16 helicopters including Cabri G2, Robinson R44 and AgustaWestland AW109helicopters operating the largest onshore aerial surveillance and training contracts in the UK..


Job Summary:


The AOC Operations Assistant will work alongside our dynamic and forward-thinking operations team, providing support to all areas of the business, predominantly airside operations.

Maintaining superior hygiene levels at our Leicester Airport base, carefully and following strict standard operating procedures particularly when it comes to cleaning of aircraft interiors and avionics, refuelling and entering tech records data.

Responsibilities will include assisting with pilot rostering, planning and organisation of Utilities and Chartering Aircraft.


Key responsibilities and duties:


  • Crewing, by managing the pilot roster, having an overview of FlightLogger
  • Allocating aircraft and crew
  • Promulgation of Patrol Plan
  • Daily checking of the crew qualifications, managing renewals etc.
  • Pipeline administration, liaison with crews, saving of FlightLogger documentation, routing grid bag checks
  • Organisation of logistic, aircraft documentation checks
  • SRP and aircraft hours, recording the hours and saving the SRPs to Google drive
  • CADS and PINS, routing inputting of CADS data and weekly submission of PINS
  • Charter Management
  • Customer liaison with charter bookings
  • Preparation of charter quotes, management of tour bookings, organisation of logistics
  • Allocation of pilots and aircraft for the bookings
  • Provision of briefing to pilots
  • Return flight documents and post flight analysis
  • Formatting of SD Cards
  • ATO Flight following
  • Assistance with scheduling ATO Activity (taking bookings, responding to enquiries, booking in flights, groundschools, exams etc.)
  • Attend ATO Dispatch Meeting
  • Acting as a Hygiene Operative, ensuring that the standards of the company Hygiene Protocol are upheld
  • Acting as a Hygiene Manager, ensuring that Hygiene Operatives are upholding their own responsibilities
  • Inputting of the KPIs for National Grid, SFH and Hours Flown
  • Liaising with the Directors about turnover/projection in line with the booking.

Job Types:

From £22,000.00 per year
