Responsibilitiesof a Year 6 teacher:
As a Year 6teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of childrentaking their first steps in Key Stage 2 promoting teamwork andcultivating a conducive learning environment.
Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children whilealso focusing on each individual childs learning targetsencouraging their strengths and improving theirweaknesses
Further developing maths ability andintroducing fractions statistics and geometry
Help children develop their writing ability by creating plotscharacters and settings for stories.
Keepingtrack of childrens progress and occasionally reporting back toparents
Year 6Teacher requirements:
QTS PGCEand strong academic record
Creative imaginativedetermined resourceful and adaptablepractitioner
Passionate aboutlearning
Able to demonstrate a track record ofsuccess within a Year 6 environment
Able tocommunicate your passion to children and parents
