Location: Glasgow – Work from home flexibility is offered. The successful candidate will be required to be based in Glasgow.

The role of the GIS transformation technician is to assist the data analysts and client with the transformation project. The successful applicants will be self-motivated, able to work well as part of a team, as well as on their own initiative and be able to adhere to strict deadlines.

Requirements:

• Qualification in a GIS related field or significant experience in working with GIS software, scripting and data
• Proficiency with GIS software – ideally ArcMap 10.x and ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience of working with data from asset management systems, ideally SAP.
• Experience with database programming languages ideally Python
• Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite
• Experience in working with large datasets and in analyzing data quality
• Analytical mindset
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Problem solving
• Ability to quickly learn new software applications
• Decisive, able to quickly recommend changes
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Good communication skills including the ability to provide feedback and escalate issues
