    Job summary

    The post holder will be one of a team of CHIS team members who manage Child Health Information within East Midlands which covers the areas; Nottingham City, Nottingham County, Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Northamptonshire and work to provide high quality child health administration, data support and services for health care professionals within NHS England Midlands (East) , provider services, GP practices, public health agencies, other outside agencies and parents.

    The post requires inputting data and carrying out crucial data quality checks that support the Child Health Service outputs whilst following systems that promote and support the continued development and improvement of data quality across Child Health Services.

    Main duties of the job

  • To accurately record immunisation data for 0-19 year olds
  • To accurately record births and create new referrals to Health Visiting Service.
  • To proactively follow up incomplete immunisation histories.
  • The post requires inputting data and carrying out crucial data quality checks that support the Child Health Information Service outputs and following systems that promote and support the continued development and improvement of data quality across Child Health Services.
  • About us

    Most roles in SCW operate between 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, with some roles having a requirement to cover an occasional Saturday morning shift 9am-12 noon.

    Although these posts are advertised as full-time, we would consider part-time hours if they align with service needs.

    *Please note, SCW staff that are in posts considered to be agile will not be expected to attend office space for general working but may be required on occasions to attend face to face meetings and collaborative working sessions that may require travel to their home base.*

  • Good level of education including GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Knowledge & Experience

  • Knowledge of more than one computer system
  • Good understanding of the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality regulations.
  • Experience of working within a Child Health Information setting within the NHS
  • Experience of data inputting and data quality work
  • Experience of health service information systems and datasets
  • Skills & Capabilities

  • Experience in Microsoft Office packages Excel and Word with intermediate keyboard skills
