    Job overview

    We are looking for a highly motivated exercise / sports physiologist to join our team of health care professionals in delivering high quality cardiac rehabilitations services.

    Working alongside the cardiac CNS team, the post holder will be instrumental in the delivery of the exercise component of the program ( group, individual, virtual). The post holder will independently assess patients and prescribe exercise. The post holder will work primarily based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital , but will be required to work across the Trust and also in community venues and in patient's homes. The post holder will need to be able travel independently to these venues in a timely manner.

    Main duties of the job

    Successful applicants will have relevant qualifications and ideally experience of working with individuals with physical health problems.

    Informal visits are strongly encouraged, and we would be very keen to meet potential applicants to explain the role in person.

    The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.

    The Trust's core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.

  • Degree in Sports Science therapy or equivalent
  • Member ( professional) of the British Association for Sports and Exercise Scientists ( BASES) or equivalent
