    Overview

    As part of our client's strategic growth plan, we are recruiting a talented Project Engineer to join their Project Engineering Team. The Projects department is responsible for delivering our client's capital project schemes. From multi-million-pound plants to smaller works, our projects span heavy industrial crushing plants to automated bagging plants, covering various sectors including chemical, biological, quarrying, and stone processing. As a Project Engineer, you will lead projects from conception to handover, ensuring robust, technically sound, and H&S-compliant solutions. Your role encompasses managing safe working practices, adhering to regulations, and ensuring project delivery within defined scopes.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage project delivery within defined parameters of time, cost, and quality.
    • Efficiently manage change and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and compile budget estimates for new plant projects.
    • Supervise contract work and labour, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
    • Maintain project records and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
    • Liaise with stakeholders to obtain quotations and negotiate with suppliers.
    • Mentor junior project engineers and provide technical expertise.
    • Compliance with Company Management System (CMS) and policies.
    • Ensuring health, safety, environmental, and sustainability practices.
    • Maintaining confidentiality and minimising environmental impact.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • Minimum HNC in Electrical, Mechanical, or Project Engineering.
    • Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Understanding of statutory regulations (LOLER, PUWER, etc.) and NEBOSH certificate.
    • Experience in leading capital projects and managing contractors.
    • Budget management skills and proficiency in AutoCAD.
    • Computer literacy with MS Office proficiency.
