    Description

    We are recruiting an electrically qualified Service Technician to be based in the south east of the UK, ideally in Essex (Chelmsford/Braintree area).

    This role reports to the Operations Manager.

    The role of a Service Technician is within the department of Industrial Service and Equipment, offering maintenance and service solutions for all crane brands.

    Your role will involve the maintenance, repair and upgrade of our customers' lifting equipment. The work we offer is varied and two days are never the same.

    You might be interested to learn that we are the original service provider for both Konecranes, Demag and Morris equipment.

    This role is based on a 39-hour week Mon-Fri (days) with ample opportunity for generous paid overtime, paid travel time is also included.

    What we are looking for in you:
    We ask that you are apprentice-trained or equivalent and conversant with electrical engineering disciplines.
    Mechanical knowledge
    Experience of maintaining/repairing cranes or industrial equipment as a minimum
    Health & Safety awareness
    Be personable as there is regular customer contact
    You will be asked to climb a ladder and able to work at heights
    Willingness to work extra hours this attracts paid overtime - we pay double time at the weekend
    Hold a current driving licence
    Willingness to work on the On-Call Rota with enhanced premium

    Your main responsibilities will include:
    You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes
    Trouble- shooting equipment breakdowns.
    Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues.
    Complete appropriate documentation through your mobile device.
