Description


An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Transport Service Controller to work at our new state of the art service depot in Tamworth.

This position would suit an administrator looking to progress their career as well as an experienced transport service controller.


You will ensure the department runs effectively whilst achieving all KPI objectives including but not limited to cost control, service compliance (service booking, breakdowns, invoicing and further work), warranty claims, productivity and full compliance to Health and Safety standards.


  • To ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are met, demonstrating sound planning and control skills in order to achieve and exceed these targets and developing operations to ensure continual improvement.
  • To build rapport, develop trust and respect from both internal and external customers
  • To assist with the call out rota's and in doing so achieve KPI targets for 60/90 ETA, first time fix rate & reduced sub contract work
  • Ensure customers are updated and communicated with throughout the life of the job
  • Collaboration with other colleagues, ensure a safe working environment is maintained
  • Maintain good working relationships with local suppliers to promote value for money and long term mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Processing / Validation of costs to a high level of accuracy.
  • Authorising repair estimates within cost limits.
  • Support colleagues daily at a highly professional level.
  • Assist the Accounts team with Invoice queries.
  • Aiding Management with additional requested duties.
  • Assist customers daily with queries providing excellent Customer Service.
  • Ensuring correct documentation is sent to the customers.
  • Ensure that PO's are sent in a timely manner.
  • Maintains all inhouse excel spread sheets.
  • Maintaining vehicle history.
  • Dealing with Warranty queries.
  • Report analysis.
  • Ensure that all queries and tasks are dealt with efficiently and with professionalism

Qualifications:


  • Kerridge working knowledge
  • Warranty process experience
  • Experience in a customer focused role.
  • Coordination/Controller experience.
  • Knowledge of site engineering processes, including PPE, vans, tools, parts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • To work on own initiative/unsupervised
  • Relevant experience of service, repair & breakdown of ThermoKing equipment would be an advantage.
