    The successful candidate will work alongside client-side business analysts, business system analysts and solution architects in order to effectively perform and analysis to solve complex business problems in a change programme. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for assessing the suitability of requirements to develop innovative software solutions. Ideally, they will have worked in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.

    About the Role

    The successful candidate will work in a cross functional team to perform Business Systems analysis and design techniques which deliver complex business solutions. Ideally, they will have worked in an Agile environment, however, waterfall techniques can be translated into our environment.

    Able to exercise professional judgement to independently complete complex tasks. Copes with complex business problems through deliberate analysis and planning. Likes to solve problems and learn new skills.

    Your Responsibilities

    · Planning BA activities for a complex programme by closely working with a Lead Business Analyst.

    · Elicitation of Business requirements in a client facing environment.

    · Analysing and validating business and system solutions to deliver increased business value and/or ensure quality of services and solutions.

    · Excellence in Business Systems analysis output to produce high quality analysis deliverables that increase business value and align with the strategic product direction.

    · Review and validate output of other Business System Analysts to ensure high quality and consistency.

    · Support the SCRUM team and Project team by providing Business Analysis support on complex projects and change initiatives.

    Your Experience

    Business System Analysts in the role should typically have 5+ years of formal business analysis experience, working with project teams of more than 10 people. Experience of working with internationally distributed teams is critical. Experience working within an Agile delivery environment will also be an advantage.

    Excellent communication, team working and stakeholder management skills.

    Substantial recent experience in business system analysis and functional design working across the full project lifecycle on a complex, multi-year programme.

    Understanding of IT systems, databases and infrastructure including complex system architectures involving the integration of multiple systems (including third parties). SQL experience would be highly advantageous.

    Highly proficient in solution analysis techniques including User Stories, User Interface Design, Logical data modelling and Business Rules modelling.

    Experience with Microservices implementations and analysis techniques such as event storming will be highly desirable.

    Workshop facilitation.

    Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Access).

    Working understanding of requirement management tools (JIRA, Confluence).

    Domain knowledge in one or more the following areas is required.

    Personal wealth and investment products such as ISA, Unit Trust and Managed Funds Annuity and Pension Products Platform/Wrap Account Products which enable an investor to hold assets across multiple managers and trade directly with the share market Other Financial Services experience such as Insurance or banking will also be considered

    Qualifications

    The following qualifications will be highly regarded.

    · Business Analysis Certification from the IIBA (CCBA or CBAP), BCS or similar

    · Formal training in business analysis fundamentals

    · Higher education degree
