We're looking for friendly and approachable students to share their experiences of managing their money while studying with others, including those interested in university study and their parents.

This will include in person at events, and producing content for social media.

You don't need to be 'good with money', just be forthcoming with how much various aspects of student life cost (like accommodation, travel, going out), and how you have managed this.

We're looking to build a team of Money Mentors with a range of experiences, including students who are living in accommodation, students living at home, and mature students, so you don't need to be a 'typical student' to apply.

Whether you have a strict budget that you stick to, or you find yourself running out of money weeks before your next Maintenance Loan payment, we're interested in your experience.

This role involves both speaking to people face to face at events and creating new content to be used on social media, so it will allow you to develop the skills that employers traditionally look for, like interpersonal skills, time management, and public speaking skills, as well as those relating to social media content creation and engagement.

The Fair Access Office works with prospective students and their parents at events on campus, out in the community, in colleges and in schools.

This is an opportunity to bring a student perspective to the work we currently do on student finance, funding, and budgeting.

Due to the flexible nature of the role the time commitment required will vary throughout the year. On average Money Mentors should expect to work around 60 hours per academic year.
