We are looking for a highly experienced Administrator to work 22.5 hours per week supporting our team at the Saint Mary's Sexual Assault Referral Centre and will work closely with the Directorate's Quality Manager to support the Directorate in gaining and maintaining UKAS accreditation across all departments that undertake forensic activity, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Forensic Science Regulator.


The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, resourceful individual with experience in providing high quality administrative services to a team of professionals.


The post holder will deal directly with individual enquiries from clients, Police officers, Forensic Physicians and other professionals, providing information within the terms of SARC confidentiality policies.


You will be part of an experienced multidisciplinary team including forensic physicians, therapists, crisis workers, adult ISVAs, Children and Young Peoples ISVAs who work together to provide high quality responsive services.


You will have the opportunity of being a part of a SARC team with a national and international reputation for first class sexual assault services, innovation and development.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


Assist in providing a professional response to all partnership agencies in the provision of services to victims of rape and sexual assault.

Work closely with the Quality Manager in developing, implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System, and ensuring compliance with the Quality Standards Framework determined by the Forensic Science Regulator


Support operational staff in the development and implementation of technical standard operating procedures across forensic activity carried out within the Directorate and ensure that they are being adhered to.

Control the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation ensuring its distribution to appropriate staff. Provide guidance and direction to staff involved in the production and updating of Quality Management System policies and procedures. Write procedures in support of the overall business goals to ensure accreditation is met and maintained

Undertake all responsibilities relating to information management, data quality, information sharing, intelligence and information security

Coordinate appropriate Proficiency Testing (PT) schemes, in order to comply with the quality assurance requirements of UKAS accreditation

Diary management and the organisation of meetings and minute taking.

Booking appointments for Acute Forensic Examinations, Child Clinic and STI Screening.

Filing documentation and case notes utilising the in-house tracker system.

To adhere to all SARC and Trust policies.
