    Early Years Teaching Assistant – Richmond – September start

    Clarus Education are here to help We are currently working in partnership with a fantastic Prep School who are searching for caring and driven individuals who are keen to join their Nursery Team as a Level 2 or above qualified EYFS TA/Practitioner.

    What is required of an Early Years Teaching Assistant?
    All Teaching Assistants should be qualified and comfortable working with young children. Active listening skills, creativity and genuine enjoyment of children are all beneficial for this position.

    A successful Teaching Assistant will also have various prerequisite skills and qualifications which typically include:


    • Passionate about supporting EYFS children's learning and development
    • Flexibility and openness to change
    • Understanding and awareness of the EYFS Curriculum (Development Matters)
    • A caring and nurturing attitude towards children
    • Excellent verbal communication
    • The ability to remain calm under pressure
    • Sensitivity and understanding
    • The ability to work well with others
    Job description


    • Early Years Teaching Assistant
    • Supporting children on a 1:1 and small group basis
    • Encouraging learning through play and investigation
    • Permanent & Full Time
    • September 2024 Start
    • Salary dependent on experience and qualifications – up to £30k
    • Located in the Borough of Richmond
    What are we looking for?


    • A minimum Level 2 qualification in EYFS or a relevant subject
    • Be able to lead large group activities; story times, social games, outdoor learning, etc
    • Someone who can set up continuous provisions and learning opportunities
    • Experience working with children in EYFS
    • Committed and reliable individual
    • Have an animated and engaging personality
