We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Learning Disability Charge Nurse to our Multi-disciplinary Inpatient Team at Midpark Hospital which is located in the town of Dumfries.

Midpark is the region's Acute Mental Health Hospital which opened in 2012, receiving accolades and an award for its design.

We provide a contemporary approach to providing quality healthcare within the inpatient environment for up to 81 patients; across 6 wards, including Adult, Older Adult, IPCU; Dementia; and Rehabilitation Services.

The main purpose of the role will be to provide clinical leadership within the integrated model to deliver evidence based best practice which is person centered to individuals who require inpatient care and treatment.

This post is integral to the development of the inpatient Intellectual Disability Nurses and wider team members; in addition to providing a supporting role to the Senior Charge Nurse, ensuring safe and effective clinical practice is delivered at all times.
