    A rare Non-Executive Director - NED opportunity has arisen to join the board of a renowned London-based Football Club.

    As an NED you will work with the board of directors, challenging and supporting the executive team to deliver on the club's strategic aims. You will also be required to advise on aspects of the company strategy and provide advice for the chair of the board and senior management related to your specific field of expertise.

    Key Responsibilities - Non Executive Director

    • Actively participate in monthly board meetings and any relevant sub-committees.
    • Bring independent and external perspectives to stimulate board debate and enhance decision-making.
    • Advise the chair of the board and senior management on general and specialist matters.
    • Provide value-added input to strategy and strategic development, including the preparation and presentation of specialist papers and briefings as required.
    • Represent the Football club at events and conferences as appropriate.
    • Review, approve and monitor the implementation of the strategic plan.
    • Provide advice on significant investments or divestments.
    • Review the financial performance against targets.
    • Review any significant changes in the company, such as financial or administrative structures.
    • Monitor legal, ethical, risk and environmental compliance (ESG).
    Key Skills & Experience - Non Executive Director
    • Experience at Director / Executive / C-Suite level (CFO / CTO / CISO / CIO / GC) in a medium to large organisation or Sporting body in one of the following specialist areas: Finance, IT or Legal.
    • A strong local community understanding and focus.
    • Knowledge or experience of Women's Football is desirable but not essential.
    • Able to demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial approach.
    • A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
    • The ability to work as part of a cohesive team is essential.
