Who Does This Role Report Into? Head of Finance Operations

Role Summary / Purpose and Scope
You will be a key Business Partner to Finance Operations with a primary focus on Debt Recovery, with a remit to review and facilitate improvements to the whole end-to-end process - most likely using the framework adopted in the recent Finance Paper (please refer to Section 3 in the Quarterly Finance Update - link

Skills, Knowledge and Values:

Skills (People & Technical)

Knowledge of finance and accounting principles/rules/regulations (UKGAAP, IAS, IFS & IFRS)
Excellent Financial Accounting knowledge
Finance System (eg SUN, NAV, SAP, ORACLE, SAGE)
Strong excel
Communication to different groups and level
Process and time management
Ability to problem solve
Ability to interrogate data (ask the right questions)
Debt Recovery (details in Role Profile)
Support the HoFO fully in general business partner activity
Identify and support on endtoend Finance Processes improvement around Invoice Raising, Settlement and Reporting
Document processes and activities fully

Experience and Salary:

Level of Experience / Certifications

Financial Accounts (P&L, Cash, Balance Sheet)
Business Partnering
Commercial Thinking
Manipulating large datasets
Exception reporting

Qualifications:

A level or equivalent in Mathematics
Degree in a numerate (or comparable) discipline

- (requiring maths, logic, finance, analysis)

Qualified or Part Qualified/Studying a Professional Finance Qualification (eg CIMA or ACCA)

Salary Range (Based on Experience)

£45,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
