Denfind Stone Ltd is a quarrying and stone processing company which is growing and developing in response to the increasing demand for natural stone building products.

A wide range of machinery and plant is used in their operation, including 360 excavators/diggers, stone guillotines, stone saws and water systems.

Denfind Stone is looking to appoint a multi-skilled Maintenance Operative to undertake planned and reactive maintenance within an industrial environment.

The successful applicant will be a 'jack-of-all-trades' and have experience of repair, maintenance and service of plant machinery.

Overall role:
To ensure and facilitate the smooth running and maintenance of machinery and plant across the business.

Experience of working in a similar environment, ie heavy industry, agriculture
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair equipment
The ability to respond to breakdowns and carry out planned maintenance
Knowledge of machine control / mechanical workings
Experience of welding and fabrication
A handson/cando approach to problem solving
The ability to work on their own initiative and as part of the overall team
A willingness to upskill where necessary with the Company's assistance

The role:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment and machinery and work with outside contractors where necessary
Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure efficient operations
Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment status
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments
Ensure plant and equipment is in a safe and acceptable condition
To assist in the improvement of efficiencies and machinery setup throughout the site
To work in conjunction with production in order to minimise plant downtime
Identify spare part requirements for machine repair, and maintaining part inventory
To work within all safety policies and procedures
