Description
We are seeking an Internal Business Development Manager for the Residential Developer sector.

You will be able to demonstrate the qualities of leading a small team from the front.

Key areas of operation are the house builder, social housing landlord, and associated contractor sector. Ideally you will be used to the route to market via specification and distribution.

This Business Development Manager role requires a confident individual with experience working in the HVAC product/market.


A key focus will be to ensure full support is given to the external Business Development Manager and to assist in day-to-day administrative tasks as well as achieving sales targets.

You will ensure best use of our Prospect365 CRM to record and track customer information and store important documentation.


Main Responsibilities:


  • To work with the external Business Development Manager to target and develop House Builder, Social Housing Organisations, and RMI opportunities.
  • To secure listing of Airflow products at the specification stage of projects profitably.
  • Ensure Prospect365 (Airflow CRM tool) has all customer's correct contacts and divisional offices listed and run reports such as sales and income forecast.
  • Review, analyse, and action leads sent via Prospect365 or selfgenerated.
  • Identify new projects from existing contractual partners and ensure that all the organisations involved are aware of the relevant Airflow specification schedules.
  • Review the current status on any live projects via the income forecast tool on a monthly basis.
  • Attend exhibitions as and when required including any weekend exhibitions as requested.
  • Host visitors to the Airflow Experience Centre.
  • Present company CPD customer training sessions via TEAMS.
  • Help produce tenders, schedules for specifiers, presentations, and CPD seminars for the () Business Development Manager to present to clients.
  • Daily use of Industry Media, Locarla, and Gatorleads via Spotler to search for and gain new leads and contacts.
  • Use applicable sales tools to help search for customer and project information.
  • Prepare proposals and supporting documentation for customers and the Business Development Manager.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling diary of purchasing decision cycles for key sector customers (potential and existing).

Additional Information Specific product training will be provided at induction and ongoing. There will be on the job training at head office during which you will be trained on understanding the RMI, Social Housing, and Housebuilder customer base along with most suitable products.


There will be continual training and on the job development provided by coaching from the BDM and the opportunities to improve your IT skills in our dedicated IT training room.


The working week should consist of 5 days in the office with the occasional joint customer visit with the external Business Development Manager.

Essential Skills:


  • To be flexible in approach when required to assist with any business requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with HVAC products/ the HVAC market
  • Previous experience as a Business Development Manager
