    Water Hygiene Supervisor

    Job Purpose

    Reporting to the Account Manager, the Supervisor's role will be the first point of contact for the region's operational team. They will provide support and general guidance to engineers and Account Co-ordinators, escalating issues to their Account Manager where necessary. They will also be required to create and maintain customer relationships by contextualising KPIs and generating and reviewing additional quotes for them. The role will be key to achieving the best possible financial and operational performance within their area, contributing to the Company's overall objectives and targets.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    • Ensure all work is carried out by engineers in accordance with client specifications and Company method statements.
    • Monitor productivity of the operational team and allocate programmes of work for staff who fall outside of the scheduling and logistics system.
    • Maximise the profitability on contracts by timely management of engineers and resolving first-line issues.
    • Provide context for contractual KPIs and keeping account managers regularly updated and informed.
    • Provide technical support and general guidance to engineers on a day to day basis, supporting them with their daily tasks and tackling any issues they may face on site.
    • Provide recommendations for corrective actions to Account Co-ordinators, especially when recommendations fall outside of standard operating procedures.
    • First line management of operational staff including processing timesheets, productivity, conduct and performance issues, working hours etc.
    • Complete record of conversations for any performance or disciplinary issues in line with Company processes; escalating issues to Account Managers when necessary.
    • Complete new starter inductions, including approving training records to prove competency.
    • Ordering and issuing of PPE and other equipment for engineers as and when necessary.
    • Overseeing vehicle issues and liaising with engineers and third party vehicle management company to resolve issues including fines, repairs, vehicle handovers, inspections etc.
    • Provide training and to share knowledge to assist in the development of engineers to help build their skills, knowledge, experience and overall competency level.
    • Conduct site visits and engineer audits regularly to ensure compliance and set improvement plans or action lists where appropriate.
    • Provide scopes, pricing and programmes of work for remedial projects where necessary and analyse performance and profitability thereafter.
    • Ensure corporate image is maintained at all times and to be a role model for the Company.

    Person specification

    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Knowledge and experience of conducting water testing and monitoring (in accordance with ACoP L8 guidelines)
    • Uphold a positive attitude along with high levels of commitment and motivation
    • Strong ICT skills
    • Full UK Driving Licence
    • Highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and an effective team player
    • Proactive and forward thinking approach to all tasks
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
