QUALITY INSPECTORLEEDS£35,000 PER ANNUMMonday to FridayMajor Recruitment are delighted to be working with a plastics manufacturing business in the heart of Leeds and are looking a Quality Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Quality Inspector you ideally will be time served however if you have strong Quality Inspection experience you will also be considered.

We are looking for a Quality Inspector who has experience in using a range of dimensional inspection equipment (Micrometers, Verniers, Gauges etc.) and can interpret both imperial and metric measurements.

The RoleChecking goods in have all the relevant documents and complianceInspecting finished goods and documents associated with themMeasuring and working to fine tolerancesCreation of inspection and no - conformance reportsMaintaining calibration and measuring of equipment, ensuring all records are up to dateTrouble shooting defects on production and providing solutionsInspecting materials to ensure consistency and integrity against FIA reportsVisiting suppliers as required to inspect prior to dispatchCreating procedure checklists and improve processSkills & AttributesTime served in a relevant engineering disciplineConversant in the use of traditional measuring equipment (Micrometers / Verniers)Able to measure and convert in both metric and imperialExperience as a Quality Inspector within an Engineering and Manufacturing environmentExperience inspecting machined/fabricated components, ideally plastics
