You will be responsible for recruiting great people - that is, working with managers, the people team and colleagues in communications to attract and recruit the talent, expertise, behaviours and ingenuity Great Places needs to bring its ambitions to fruition.


What you'll be doing

  • Building our reputation in the market place as an Employer of Choice
  • Running creative and innovative recruitment campaigns
  • Contract managing our approved agency recruitment suppliers to ensure effective performance management and cost effectiveness.
  • Working with managers and colleagues to understand the Great Places colleague experience and use it to inform attraction and recruitment messages
  • Designing, implementing and facilitating training for hiring managers on the recruitment process, including their legal responsibilities and best practice
  • Working with the Communications team to continually enhance the Great Places employer brand, including developing and refreshing the recruitment pages of Great Places websites and all other online platforms
  • Seeking out opportunities to showcase Great Places as an Employer, including taking part on Jobs Fairs, building relationships with schools and colleges and utilising social media etc.
  • Developing strong relationships with all our partners to establish pathways for recruitment in line with our EDI principles.
  • Continually reviewing and evaluating recruitment processes, including monitoring feedback from new starters and making recommendations.
  • Managing, monitoring and reporting on the performance of our Recruitment Platform (ATS) and recruitment processes

What you'll need

  • Minimum grade C in GSCE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • CIPD Level 5 or relevant recruitment experience.
  • Proficiency in use of MS office
  • Experience of using ATS and CRM systems
  • Ability to develop and project a positive image of Great Places through personal, written and oral skills
  • Proactive and able to use own initiative
  • Strong working knowledge of recruitment lifecycle and keeping up to date with latest market trends.
  • Experience of managing internal /external stakeholders
  • Tenacity and resilience ability to see the opportunity in every challenge
  • Ability to work strategically to support continuous improvement of processes and team working.
  • Great communicator give clear instructions and communicate effectively
  • Change agent continually striving for excellence and adding value
  • Flexibility in working approach, including supporting recruitment events which may be outside of working hours/weekends.
