- Planand deliver exciting and engaging lessons that challenge andinspire Year 5/6 students to reach their fullpotential
- Monitor andassess students progress and keep regular records of Year 5/6students academicperformance
- Create apositive learning environment that is both safe and conducive forlearning
- Collaborate withschool management teaching staff and parents to provide qualityacademic support for Year 5/6students
- Prepare andparticipate in schoolrelated activities such as performances eventsand parent/teachermeetings
- Adhere tosafeguarding policies and promote the welfare of allchildren
- Use a variety ofeffective classroom management strategies to ensure an orderly andsafe learningenvironment
- Year 5teacher experience
- QTS orequivalent
- A recognizedqualification in teaching preferably a Bachelors degree inEducation or any relevantfield
- Proven experience inteaching Year 5/6 in a mainstream primary or secondaryschool
- Excellent classroommanagement skills with the ability to engage and motivatelearners
- Stronginterpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectivelywith parents staff andstudents
- Sound knowledgeof the national curriculum and its application inclass
- Ability to adaptteaching styles to facilitate different learningstyles
- A passion forteaching and making a difference in studentslives.
