Job Description Income Auditor - Sofitel London St James**Sofitel London St James, an emblem of luxury, seamlessly blends French elegance with British traditions. In line with our commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Income Auditor to join our Finance team.

The Income Auditor will maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, revenue, and financial reporting, ensuring that every aspect of our guests' experience aligns with the sophisticated and joyful ambiance that defines Sofitel London St James.


Key Responsibilities:


Income Audit

  • Perform daily revenue audits, reconciling revenue reports, and identifying discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and financial policies.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and statements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and answer any queries.
  • Assist in the yearend audit process.
  • Innovate and improve processes to enhance department's operational efficiency.

Accounts Receivable

  • Carrying out new company credit check and maintaining the credit file up to date (review each year).
  • Producing and sending of invoices in a timely manner.
  • Processing refunds, managing chargebacks and writeoff requests with correct approval.
  • Monitoring bank reconciliation and recording payments in the PMS.
  • Maintaining a healthy aging report by ensuring payments are received on time.
  • Monitoring open PM balances and send PM lists once every two weeks.
  • Reconciling Spa revenue and vouchers.

General Cashier

  • Conducting regular float check
  • Collecting and banking of all cash, currency and checks.
  • Auditing and reconciling due backs, cash overage/shortage and petty cash.
  • Producing and maintaining of float contract and making record in the balance sheet.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in income auditing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in Opera and Micros.
  • Microsoft Office with advanced excel (mandatory).
  • Excellent communication, problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and knowledge of hotel operations.
  • Fully entitled to work in the UK.
