Job Description:

Global Corporate bank seeks an AVP/VP level Corporate Credit officer as part of its expanding credit risk function. They are open on sector background.
CIB Corporate Credit is Group's second line of defence for the Corporate & Institutional Coverage portfolio.

Our role is to support our business in achieving its goals, ensuring appropriate risk reward for our clients & the Bank and crucially, mitigating riskand protecting the Bank from loss.

You'll be looking after high profile and sophisticated clients generating a minimum of £100m in annual turnover and be a part of the wider CIB Corporate Credit area, Chief Credit Office, Risk Division.

Providing insightful, high-quality analysis, advice andguidance in a specific area of credit risk, executing control and tailored to senior stakeholder needs.

May lead a team of risk specialists and deputise for more senior colleagues.

The team is responsible for the credit management of a portfolio of corporate clients with complex and varied financing arrangements; as well as supporting CIB in generating new business and maintaining the credit quality of the existing portfolio.

You will also be working to continually improve and transition the team into a Risk Function for the Future. CIB Corporate Credit are very well renowned for nurturing and developing their team members.

As such, you will be provided with support throughout yourtime in the team - we operate a continuous learning environment and very much encourage sharing of knowledge and best practice.

You'll be supported from day one with bespoke training and development, including a buddy system, sessions with Subject Matter Experts,collaboration and support from team members and across other sector teams.

On any given day, a Credit Officer can look forward to a variety of work such as:

  • Manage relationships with important internal customers and act as their business partner,
while taking guidance from senior colleagues.

  • Meets the needs of significant customers related to a range of products and services and/or manages a customer advisor team over a given area.
  • Manages the development and/or operation of significant aspects of the data management system with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Analyses key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business.
  • Writes and edits materials for a variety of target populations, tailoring the tone and content to match the needs and expectations of each audience.
  • Grows own capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities and develops the capabilities of direct reports by working within existing development framework; provides specialised training or coaching in area of expertise to othersthroughout the organisation.
  • Identifies shortcomings, then suggests and implements improvements to existing business
practices, while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organisation's change management programme with guidance from senior colleagues

  • Manages the development and/or operation of knowledge management system with
guidance from senior colleagues.

  • Develops procedures and interprets and applies policy for area of expertise to achieve
implementation of those procedures within the organisation.

  • Develops and/or delivers a contingency plan for significant aspects of the risk management and/or control process.
  • Identifies and evaluates complex expertiseled solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs.
  • Develops and designs content for training courses in specific functional areas to fill gaps in
established programs; runs complex and/or customised training courses to improve
employee performance within specific functional area.

About You
:


  • You have significant credit risk management experience (58yrs) and an ability to quickly learn and adapt to new challenges. You'll have welldeveloped communication and influencing skills and are happy to challenge the status quo whilst being comfortablemaking and explaining your decisions. You're also able to balance conflicting demands whilst delivering to tight timescales.
  • Good product knowledge of lending and derivatives. Trade finance experience is preferable
but not critical.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail, numeracy and
accuracy.

  • An inquisitive nature, independent thinking, problemsolving skills, adaptability to new
challenges and a willingness to learn.

  • The ability to handle multiple requests and stakeholders, as well as letting us know when you need help we're always here to support each other
