    The individual will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance support of the full range of Rapiscan's product's in the UK & EMEA.

    The Lead Engineer also manages the day to day service delivery of a small regional team of 5 to 10 Field Service Engineers.


    Responsibilities

    Installation and service support of Rapiscan's Checkpoint, RTT, CT and Trace systems at customer's premises, primarily in the Southern area of England, but may include other locations throughout the UK/Ireland and overseas.

    Routine preventative and breakdown maintenance of the Company's equipment at customer premises in the UK/Ireland and EMEA.
    Provide out of hours standby cover as part of established teams.
    Carry out basic Operator and Technical training when required at customer premises.
    Carry out site surveys and advise customer on technical matters prior to installations.
    Learn the basics of ADS products so assistance can be given to other teams.
    Provide feedback to Engineering, Product Line Management and QA as part of our continuous improvement programme.
    Any other departmental ad-hoc duties when required.

    In Addition to the routine roles and responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer, the Lead FSE will be allowed time and resources to complete the following additional tasks.

    Lead a regionalised team of 5 to 10 Field Service Engineers in day to day service activities

    Ensure regular communication of service department information and documentation is fed down to the regional team through regular telephone conferences and face to face individual or team meetings.

    Perform annual performance reviews for each team
    Act as Regional Team liaison with upper management highlighting achievements and areas of concern

    Qualifications
    Working towards an overall technical / team leadership role – training and mentoring will be
    Excellent communication, organisational and administration discipline

    Previous experience working in a customer facing environment would be Electronics and Computer experience essential, along with working knowledge of Microsoft office related programs.

    Electronics and computer Must have qualifications in subjects relevant to the role.
    Extensive experience working with a field-based customer support team servicing high tech security equipment and systems
