The role will work flexibly across adult of working age inpatient services at South Manchester.
The Matron, alongside the wider Senior Leadership team, will ensure our services are safe, timely, clinically effective, and person centred so patients, service users and families have a good experience of care.
Through role modelling and strong Nursing leadership this role will embed clinical governance processes and systems to support assurance that the teams consistently achieve care standards and provide high quality care.
You will demonstrate a value base that is just, learning focussed and enables staff to feel psychologically safe and believe in learning for continuous improvement.

To ensure clinical practice and development is in line with evidenced best practice
To be responsible for auditing clinical practice and clinical policy compliance
To monitor and promote development of practitioner clinical skills, knowledge and competency
To be responsible for achievement, maintenance and monitoring of environmental standards.
To ensure the clinical environment is conducive to promote service users health, safety and recovery and adherence to all clinical policies and protocols is evident.
To support the delivery of high quality, clinically safe service and make the best use of resources.
To support clinical practice development and ensure that the fundamentals of care are right and that clinical innovations are rolled out in a timely and managed way.
