Shorterm Group are delighted to be working with a leading supplier into the oil and gas industry on their search to appoint a Lead Electrical Engineer on a full time, permanent basis.

They have developed several innovations around offshore Oil & Gas platforms and riser systems which changed those markets and are still in demand as well as the company developing into decommissioning and renewables including CCS, Green Hydrogen and OffshoreWind.

Due to the continued success of their offshore structures division we are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Electrical Engineering professional

to take the role of Lead Electrical Engineer in their offshore structures business unit based at their Norwich head office.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be accountable for the successful delivery of project related design and engineering for the Platforms & Structures business unit in a cost and time efficient manner, interfacing with project managers to ensurethat all Platforms & Structures projects are adequately supported and resourced.

You will ensure that the discipline team is effectively managed with necessary controls in place to maximise productivity and minimise errors and you will drive an increase inefficiencies, competence, and experience of discipline team.

You will also be able to demonstrate understanding of the design process and ability to demonstrate working knowledge of brief / scope documents, design concepts, and technical experience (calculations etc.)
