    About the role

    We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented commercial Assistant Data Analyst to join our team. As an Assistant Data Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting data, analysing results, and providing insights to help drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analysis techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

    • Collect, clean, and analyse data from internal and external sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights to inform EB's development.
    • Manage dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to understand business requirements and provide data and analysis to inform decisions.
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business planning and decision-making processes.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains through process automation.
    • Remain up to date with current industry trends and best practices in data analysis, reporting and visualization tools and techniques.
    • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop existing BNG demand modelling, market sizing and pricing analysis.

    Requirements

    • Strong drive to use data analysis to support EB's mission to deliver our contribution to nature recovery.
    • Experience as a junior/graduate Assistant Data Analyst or in a similar role.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Degree in relevant scientific discipline, or equivalent, with experience in data science, statistics, data analysis etc.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in excel, however awareness of more advanced systems/tools is advantageous, e.g. Python, R, Tableau, Power BI etc.
    • A desire to learn new skills and adapt to and with the business as we grow
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment, in a team constantly adapting to the priorities of a growing business.
    • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
