Do you want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people?

We're looking for individuals who share our same passion for mental health care to join the NHS family.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced secretary to join our established administration team.

The role sits under our specialist Sussex-wide Family Eating Disorder Service (SFEDS), which is a part of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) at Sussex Partnership.

We work with young people aged 10-18 with Anorexia Nervosa or Bulimia Nervosa and their families and support their recovery.

We are a service of friendly and highly skilled Family and Systemic Psychotherapists, Psychiatrists, Paediatricians, Clinical Psychologists, Nurses, Dietitians, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers with support from an excellent administration team.

Together with the highly supportive team here, you'll provide vital administrative support to the clinicians working with young people in Sussex.

We truly are a great place to work, offering a working environment with an inclusive culture that looks after and values our people and creates a sense of belonging.

The post holder will be able to organise their workload, demonstrate a professional telephone manner, and be able to liaise effectively with other teams, external agencies and families.

Duties will include processing of new referrals, typing of clinical letters and reports (audio would be an advantage but training will be given) and general administrative tasks such as scanning/printing and occasional reception cover.

Therefore, the post holder will need good working experience of Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel and Outlook.

An ability to deal sensitively with people who may be distressed at times is also essential.

For an informal discussion please telephone Kelly O'Malley or Emma Bland on

As part of an established administration team, you will play a pivotal role in providing excellent support to the wider clinical team and the families with which they work

  • Childcare vouchers
  • Wide range of LGBTQ+ initiatives
  • Health service discounts and many online benefits
  • Health and wellbeing opportunities
  • Cycle to Work Scheme and discounts on public transport
We encourage flexible working.

We know that a positive work/life balance brings about huge health-related benefits, which has a positive impact on the care we provide.

Please speak to us about flexible working, for example, home-working, part time hours, flexible start/finish times or anything else. If it works for you and works for the role, we'll do our best to make it happen.
