    Job Title: Security Project Manager (Outside IR35)

    Location: Hybrid - UK Project Sites, Office, Remote

    About the client:

    They are a leading provider of integrated control and technology solutions, delivering innovative projects across a range of complex customer facilities. Our portfolio includes designing and building new installations, refurbishments, and asset refresh solutions. Who specialise in a variety of technologies, including complex integrated Security systems (CCTV, Perimeter protection, access control, intruder protection), Fire detection systems, building management systems, associated cabling equipment, and seamless integration with other systems.

    Role Overview:

    They are currently seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join their team. This role will involve a hybrid approach, combining on-site project work across the UK, collaboration at their head office, and remote tasks. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting sales activities, executing projects according to client specifications and contracts, managing costs and cash flow, ensuring compliance with quality procedures, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with sales teams to provide inputs for tender returns, including programs, pricing, and responses to queries.
    • Plan and execute projects in alignment with client specifications, contractual agreements, program schedules, our project management methodology, and quality standards.
    • Manage project costs and cash flow, forecasting cost-to-completion to optimize profitability and control working capital.
    • Provide accurate resource forecasts and early identification of potential risks and delays to the program.
    • Support project teams in achieving compliance with client requirements and operational objectives.
    • Develop project plans and deliverable schedules.
    • Maintain project risk registers and implement mitigating actions.
    • Monitor progress and adapt schedules based on key dates and performance indicators.
    • Conduct regular financial reviews and update relevant systems to reflect project health.
    • Implement monthly application and follow-up processes to ensure timely payment of invoices and improved cash flow.
    • Conduct review meetings with the team, tracking outputs and actions using project action register documents.
    • Produce monthly project overview reports for senior management review, covering procurement, subcontractor performance, health and safety, compliance, and quality assurance.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Proven experience managing large, multi-disciplinary integrated projects from initial customer inquiry through to handover.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects as a profit and loss (P&L) centre, effectively controlling change, identifying and mitigating risks and opportunities.
    • Strong ability to interpret specifications and contract requirements, delivering fully compliant solutions and execution plans.
    • Experience in leading and implementing Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) requirements in accordance with company policy and legislation.
    • Background in operations teams, with the capability to plan works and communicate effectively with teams, suppliers, and customers.
    • Project Management qualification/certification (APM/IPMA).
    • Experience working with NEC suite of contracts would be advantageous.
    • Experience in regulated industries such as electricity, gas, rail, or nuclear is desirable.
