    About Us

    Staircraft is the leading manufacturer of Stairs, Floors, Mouldlings, and Door kits supplying high-quality products into the Housebuilding and Builders Merchanting sectors. A part of the Travis Perkins Group, it is undergoing a period of significant development and expansion with investment in a new factory and the implementation of new products.

    We are looking for a highly driven and ambitious Operations Director with an appetite for leading change to join our leadership team reporting directly into the Managing Director.

    Key Accountabilities

    1. Provide leadership for our expansion programme including the development of supply into external customers and into the Travis Perkins group
    2. A key member of the Leadership team responsible for delivering business performance and developing new directions to achieve market share growth
    3. Take full ownership of our manufacturing sites (Ansty, Coventry (x2) and West Brom), with a key focus on driving quality, efficiencies, capacity maximisation, stock management, compliance, and, most importantly, safety
    4. Deliver high-quality products through excellent production to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
    5. Inspire and lead c.350 colleagues across our four sites with the support of our already established management team (c.8 direct reports)
    6. Develop an instinctive safety culture across operations to ensure colleague care is a priority
    7. Work with the senior leadership team to continue delivering our expansion programme
    8. With the support of our HR team you'll deliver on our people plan and continue to develop a productive and high performing team

    What Are We Looking For?

    You will have worked in a manufacturing environment, preferably in timber/wood engineering or providing supply into the construction sector with at least 3 years in a leadership/board level role.

    You'll have the ability to lead and motivate a team of operational managers spanning multiple locations and be recognized as an inspiring leader.

    You'll have a track record of delivering strong revenue and profit performances.

    You'll possess a strong financial, business, and commercial acumen.

    You'll have a safety-first mindset.

    You'll be able to operate at pace, be a skilled communicator and be able to engage large teams on a journey of change.

    Being part of Travis Perkins plc, you'll build strong working relationships with our groups support functions and other businesses, being able to collaborate with other teams is key to driving our agenda forward.
