    Job summary

    An exciting opportunity has opened up for an enthusiastic and hard working Housekeeper to join the team at Leicester Royal Infirmary, Ward 19 Children's Ward. The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring patient service and the clinical environment is managed and maintained to appropriate standards.

    To maintain a high standard of cleanliness without direct supervision, ensuring that food hygiene and Infection Prevention standards are adhered to at all times. To support the Ward/Department Staff in the smooth running of their area and come into contact with patients.

    The post holder will be instrumental in ensuring patients nutritional requirements are met. The post holder is required to use their initiative and take responsibility for themselves and the quality of their work and the service they provide to patients and families.

    Main duties of the job

    Ward 19 at the Leicester Royal Infirmary is looking for a motivated housekeeper who is compassionate and child friendly. This is a busy fast paced environment, and we are looking for a housekeeper who can work Monday - Friday . As a valuable member of the team you will be responsible for assisting in maintaining a high standard of patient care and maintaining excellence standards of ward cleanliness.

    Experience in the care setting would be desirable but not essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is hard working with good communication and organisational skills. Applicants must be committed to providing high standards of compassionate care to the patients and their families or carers.

    You will ensure the clinical environment is maintained to the appropriate standards. You will be instrumental in ensuring patients nutritional requirements are met.

    Working hours will be hour shifts to be worked on weekdays.
