    Job overview

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in Respiratory Out-patients.

    We are looking for an experienced, motivated and committed Senior Respiratory Nurse with a passion for improving the experience and clinical outcomes of our patients and who inspires others to provide excellent patient care.

    We are looking for a nurse who has experience of working autonomously in secondary care, running nurse led clinics. Ideally you would have the history and physical examination course alongside the non-medical prescribing Course.

    Main duties of the job

    The successful candidate will be responsible for their own clinics within the working week, you will be expected to work autonomously to provide a n excellent service to our patients . You will be expected to clinically assess a wide variety of patients coming into the Respiratory Out patient department, initiate diagnostic test, make and receive referrals and initiate treatment plans. We run a sleep service which is nurse led therefore we would expect you to triage and prioritize referrals , and initiate therapy or offer lifestyle guidance to these patients.

    You would demonstrate effective leadership and support the Lead CNS in the everyday running of the department, mentor juniors, support change and promote education.
