Role and Responsibilities
Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day adjustments to client, instructor schedules, taking into account any necessary alterations to the training profiles.
  • Proactively and creatively works to provide a schedule that drives revenue retention through client satisfaction as well as employee retention through consistent work life balance.
  • Allocation of Instructors/Examiners and simulator resources to maximise revenue and employee happiness.
  • Creatively solves complex allocation issues whilst staying within regulatory and CAE guidelines.
  • Independently adapts the schedule to fluctuating demands including last minute cancellations and employee absence.
  • Acts as the key execution point of all training within the CAE responsible for allocation of all programs related resources in a manner that both maximises revenue and ensures the long term health of the program.
  • Communicates with their assigned Training Manager, Account Executives and Client Services to react to client requests and proactively address possible training concerns. Seeks opportunities to improve revenue efficiency by optomising booked schedules and providing clear slots for sales to fill. Balances responses to both clients and account executives in a delivery style that ensures equal support for all clients and ensures high quality training.
  • Follow regulatory requirements to ensure all training is booked and scheduled within the CAA, EASA, UK authorities and regulations. Key ownership on all regulatory conflicts process and TCA's within a 14 day rolling period.

  • Short term planning and scheduling of training requirements, to allocation of simulator, training devices, classroom and instructor resources in accordance with the approved course or training footprints.
  • Close working relationship with Training Managers, Account Executives and Pre-Operation Fleet Planners to provide training solutions or course options for specific customer requests.
  • Ensure Clients are accommodated in a friendly, highly respective manner with specific emphasis on problem solving and client assistance.
  • Train and assist collegues on systems as required by your manager
  • Work with team members, colleagues and managers to devise best practice departmental work processes.
  • Encourage and foster a team working environment to ensure a smoothrunning scheduling service.
  • Any other tasks discussed and assigned by your manager.
  • The empowerment of the scheduling team in times of absence from the Scheduling Lead.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent.
  • Previous aviation crew scheduling and/ or operational experience.
  • Excellent PC skills, essentially Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good interpersonal skills and excellent telephone manner.
  • Organized, team player attitude.
  • Experience in the use of Scheduling Tools desirable.
  • Experience of the aviation industry and Flight Simulation desirable.
