    Gracemount Primary School
    Gracemount is a large primary school in central Edinburgh and is part of The Gracemount Learning Community. At Gracemount Primary we are committed to closing the Poverty Related Attainment gap and providing Equity for our pupils. The current roll is 520 including 56 full time children in our nursery class.
    The Senior Leadership Team is comprised of the Head Teacher, 2 Depute Head Teachers and a Principal Teacher.

    Alongside our 20 classrooms we also have a number of other spaces available which help to enhance the learning we offer, this includes; two hall spaces, a dance/drama base, a library, community room and large outdoor space.

    As well as this we also have spaces which support pupils with a variety of additional support needs.

    a sensory room, a nurture room, small garden courtyard and spaces for 1:1 sessions with our pupil well-being team or visiting specialists.

    We also utilise our local Gracemount Walled Garden and community partnerships.

    Please note, for candidates that are invited for Short Leet there will be a virtual assessment centre consisting of three written tasks.

    If the successful candidate does not meet this requirement the post may be offered on a temporary basis for a maximum period of 30 months if the panel is satisfied that, on an individual basis, there is a likelihood that the Into Headship qualification will be achieved within this timescale.

    A permanent contract will be offered only when the course is successfully completed.

    If it becomes clear that this essential qualification will not be achieved within 30 months then the contract will be ended with appropriate notice and the temporary Head Teacher will then revert to a DHT1 post available across the city.

    Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

    This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

    Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
