Broster Buchanan are recruiting for 2 Purchase Ledger Clerks to be based in Peterborough, working within a team of 16, you will be responsible for the day to day purchase ledger.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To assist the Purchase Ledger Supervisor by conducting required duties in a professional manner and to an acceptable standard of accuracy.
JOB PROFILE
- Opening of ledger accounts according to established procedures
- Reconcile supplier statements and pay suppliers according to established group procedures
- Accurately allocate payments and receipts to ledgers daily, including debits/credits so as not to incur levy fees
- Ensure correct procedures have been followed and the correct authorisations have been obtained before raising sundry cheques
- Action payment requests from suppliers within the agreed credit terms
- Accurately enter/scan purchase invoices onto invoice register and pass authorised invoices daily
- Assist in achieving monthly close of ledgers in three working days
- Strive to complete work to a consistently high standard, to ensure that accurate information is always available from which to make decisions.
