This exciting post working in DREEEAM (Department of Research and Education in Emergency medicine, Acute medicine and Major trauma) is ideal for a doctor or advanced clinical practitioner (ACP) with at least 6 months experience in Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine or Critical Care, seeking to further their career in Emergency Medicine.

It would be particularly suited for a trainee between core medical and higher training, or a higher specialist trainee with an interest in Medical Education.

This post offers a combination of teaching and clinical activity. The post holder will undertake three days teaching and two days clinical activity a week in ED.

Working for our organisation

The Emergency Department at Nottingham University Hospitals' NHS Trust is one of the busiest in Europe. It is a Major Trauma Centre to the biggest Trauma Network in the UK. There is a separate Paediatric Emergency Department which is co-located with the Adult Department.

DREEAM is an innovative NHS academic department situated in close proximity to the ED. DREEAM has an inter-professional, multidisciplinary philosophy and seeks to integrate education and research with clinical practice.

Qualifications:

Essential criteria

  • MBBS or equivalent and GMC registered
  • OR ACP
Experience

  • Evidence of interest in teaching and some experience in undergraduate teaching

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
